POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager to assure carrier routing is arranged, all necessary documentation for shipment and customer invoicing is completed accurately and shipment loading is executed on a timely basis consistently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assure the proper loading of customer orders to meet customer delivery schedule commitments consistently.
- Monitor the Bill of Lading documentation preparation and related PRO number entry to assure timely invoicing.
- Maintain excellent relationships with our customer’s drivers, logistics managers, and their designated carriers to develop a reputation for excellent customer relations at the point of shipment pick-up.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION
- Previous warehouse shipping experience in either the wholesale or retail industry is preferred.
- Outstanding communication and analytical skills
- Workable knowledge of the WMS platform
- Must have prior working experience with Microsoft Office software including MS Word, and MS Excel.
