What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Router Operator - Recent Graduates welcome position at Keen Designs Inc.?
We are a family owned business in Largo, FL. We have been in business for 16 years and specialize in creating props and sets for theme parks nationwide. We also build mirror mazes.
We are looking for a full time CNC router operator. He/she will also need to preferably be proficient with the set-up and safe operation of various kinds of CNC routers and fabrication shop equipment, to include but not limited to shear, drill press and other miscellaneous hand tools, tape measure and grinders. This individual will also need to be familiar with various metals, acrylics, foams and wood.
**We would love a recent graduate and we are willing to train the right person on our CNC.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
The daily work environment is a standard manufacturing shop. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. When performing the regular duties of the position the operator must be able to follow written and verbal instructions as well as wear safety equipment as required.
This is a permanent full-time position. The hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. We offer overtime during busy periods.
Duties/Responsiblities
- Safe and efficient operation of various CNC machines and shop equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for themselves and others.
- Exhibits proficiency in machining and machining principles.
- Maintain flexibility and work between departments as required.
- Assist and/or perform duties as recommended by supervisor/trainer.
- Must be able to perform all requirements for CNC operator.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. routinely, up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be proficient in all duties assigned by trainer and be able to perform unsupervised once trained.
- Willing to travel for occasional installations (optional)
Job/ Educational Requirements; Minimum of High School Diploma Required.
- CNC background or training and written skills.
- Basic PC skills.
- Detail oriented, organized, able to work with multiple individuals at all levels.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in support of several individuals and projects.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain work area - cleaned and organized according to the guidelines.
