CNC OPERATOR - JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
Description of Job: Kelbly’s Inc has been producing high quality firearm parts since 1981 and has been able to continue delivering exceptional value to their clients thanks to their outstanding CNC Operators. Our CNC Operators produce precisely engineered parts used in our products. Their duties include setting up equipment, operating equipment and inspecting finished parts that will exceed clients’ expectations.
Reports to: Production Manager
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience Requirements:
Previous CNC operation experience preferred
Previous manufacturing industry experience preferred
Licensing, Registration and Certification Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be fluent in English for cross departmental communication
Candidate must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time during 8-10 hour shifts.
Must have ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions within a shop environment
Must be able to lift items over 50 lbs
Must be able to multi-task and handle stress all while maintaining an efficient working environment.
Responsibilities of Job:
- Properly run CNC machinery
- Change tooling in machines as needed
- Perform various measuring tasks to ensure correct tolerances are being met
- Maintain organization of tooling and materials in the shop
- Develop strategies for greater efficiency with the Production Manager
- Maintain departmental safety and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform additional tasks when needed by Supervisor
Measure of Performance:
- Limit waste of time and materials
- Meeting or exceeding production quotas
- Maintain high quality of parts produced and consistent workflow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
