Overview
Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd., a Keller company, is an established post-tension and rebar manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We supply construction related materials to builders from one of our eight facilities in the US.
We are looking for an experienced Rebar Sales Representative to join our team in our office located in Leander, TX. This is a full-time permanent placement benefit eligible opportunity.
Responsibilities
The Rebar Sales Representative will be responsible for obtaining, maintaining new clientele and developing long-term relationships in the commercial reinforcing steel industry.
Other responsibilities include:
- Provide quotations to existing and potential new customers using existing company pricing structures.
- Oversee both internal and external Estimators & Detailers, allocating work as required.
- Maintain existing Backlog and Estimating reports
- Monitor existing projects for accuracy and assist Project Managers where required in dispute resolution.
- Setup of newly awarded projects into existing company databases and allocation of new works to Detailers.
- Communicate monthly requirements to Plant Manager and assist in forecasting of ongoing projects and special product requirements.
- Production of month end reports using existing spreadsheets and systems for tracking estimated and awarded tons per month.
- Achieve minimum monthly Estimating and Jobs Won targets per your proposed business plan as set in conjunction with Branch Manager.
- Conduct regular office visits to both existing and new customers to build strong long term business relationships and grow our existing customer base.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Prior commercial rebar sales is preferred.
- Possess experience in relationship building, account maintenance, and outbound sales.
- Self-starter, organized and driven.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to recognize new business opportunities.
- Commercial construction experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Rebar and Concrete construction knowledge is preferred.
- Must be able to read blueprints for commercial projects.
