We are seeking a skilled machine operator to join our team in Van Alstyne. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring various types of machines to ensure the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Shift: 7 am – 3:30 pm
Pay: 18 an hour
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor various types of machines such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or other specialized equipment
- Check for any defects or malfunctions that may affect the quality of the products being produced
- Perform routine maintenance on the machines you operate, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting them to ensure they operate efficiently and safely
- Troubleshoot problems that may occur during the operation of the machines and repair issues as needed
- Follow strict safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
- Record data on the production of the machines you operate, including the number of items produced, any defects or issues, and any maintenance performed
- Communicate with other team members, such as supervisors, quality control personnel, or other machine operators, to coordinate production activities and ensure that production goals are met
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator or similar role in the manufacturing industry
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of various types of machines and equipment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree or certification preferred
