Data Analyst (Computer Vision)
Location: San Diego, CA (remote)
Duration: 3 months
Kelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to work remotely for our client based in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, applied to computer vision problems and excellent understanding of computer vision libraries such as OpenCV. Candidates should also possess Python scripting skills and be able to write reporting scripts to create reports and dashboards. Prior experience with Microscopy and/or experimental validation plans is highly desired but not required.
Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Data Analyst will play a key role in the development of an imaging system aimed to characterize cell therapy manufacturing products. This position is essential for advancing the Research, Development, and GxP initiatives throughout the entire network.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with data scientists, assay developers, automation, system, and fluidics engineers among others.
Analyze microscopy images using both existing and novel algorithms, design computational experiments, and prepare reports to drive improvements.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data from lab experiments.
Prepare and present technical reports and research findings to stakeholders.
Drive innovation, keeping on top of the latest advancements in the field, and proactively identify opportunities to apply these innovations within the company.
Assist in establishing compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, applied to computer vision problems, such as those related to microscopy, fluorescence analysis for cell characterization.
Extensive experience in developing, documenting (DocStrings), and testing Python applications for scientific research settings.
Experience with containers, CI/CD, source control and related technologies.
Good understanding of computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, scikit-image and experience applying those to object detection and segmentation.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across various technical disciplines with multiple stakeholders, including management, peers, customers, and suppliers.
Good organizational skills, with the ability to contribute to multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
Preferred Job Qualifications
MSc. or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
Experience establishing algorithm and experimental validation plans a plus.
Experience in instrumentation development a plus.
Experience in Agile and/or Product Development Process (PDP).
Experience with dashboards in plotly, dash and similar frameworks a plus.
