- Operating fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, or punches to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures
- Fabricating door rails, stiles, frame jambs, and headers
- Prepping parts and assembling doors
- Packing and lifting doors and frames
- Pulling metal and handling and packaging aluminum lengths
- Assisting with sub-assembly and fabrication
- Cleaning and organizing the warehouse
- Assisting with equipment maintenance
- Performing all other duties as assigned
- Reporting to the supervisor or manager of the fabrication department
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Can accurately read a tape measure to the 1/32"
- Successfully interact well with fellow employees and management
- Can handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Have experience operating machinery and hand tools for fabrication
- Have at least 1 year of prior Door Fabrication experience or relevant fabrication experience
- Can handle stressful situations well
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment, including safety boots with metatarsal guards
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, bend, crouch, and work in a factory environment for 10 or more hours per day
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, turn, and reach multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to load, unload, push, and pull metal extrusions weighing 25-75 pounds throughout the day
- Ability to look downward throughout the day
- Lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in a hot and cool environment
