What’s a typical day as a Forklift Operator? You’ll be:
- Loading and unloading trucks, safely, and moving product components using forklift vehicles, pallet jacks, and other similar material handling systems
- Picking, accurately and quickly, components from warehouse storage according to written work orders, following First In-First Out (FIFO) method
- Keeping accurate written records of component movements and consumption
- Using computer to enter and retrieve information
- Participating in Inventory cycle count program and report material stocking discrepancies
- Conducting safety inspections of material handling equipment and report status
- Assisting production operators and other duties, as assigned by supervisor
- Preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product
- Documenting product shipment by recording units shipped
- Maintaining material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have experience with forklift operations
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have a high school diploma or GED
