What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Kelly?
Kelly Science and Clinical is searching for a full time direct hire Lab Technician in Cincinnati, OH.
Job Duties
- Responsible for utilizing ISO procedures that apply to laboratory functions: calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment, and final inspection and testing.
- Standardize solutions and calibrate equipment according to schedule.
- Responsible for properly handling and storing solvents.
- Properly store product retain samples so they are readily accessible.
- Maintain finished goods SQC charts in Synergy; observe for trends or out of control situations - bring these to the attention of the Production Planner.
- Keep the laboratory neat and organized.
- Complete projects or tasks to continually improve the work product put out by the lab.
- Observe Pilot’s Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Plan.
- Perform routine clerical work and fill sample requests.
- Perform other work as assigned by appropriate management.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Responsible Care Management System® including the establishment of policies and procedures, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Chemical Lab Technology or 2 years of related science courses.
- Minimum of two years of vocational experience in a lab or manufacturing plant.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Personal computer experience
- Experience in the use of lab equipment such as pH meter, moisture balance, KF apparatus, HPLC, IC, viscometers, and colorimeters
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
