What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator II position at Kelly?
Payrate $20 an hour
1st shift - Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
40 to 50 hours per week, OT as needed
Kelly is hiring a Material Coordinator in Davenport, IA! This position manages inventory and the flow of materials between departments across the facility. This position performs root cause analysis and problem resolution related to the inventory cycle count process and resolves production inventory issues. Bachelor’s degrees preferred, but associates, military, and experience will all be considered in combination. Familiarity with Excel, expert communication, and highly detail oriented all required. Metatarsal boots required for the first day.
Duties:
- Coordinates for multiple departments the procuring, expediting, producing and delivering material on time.
- Includes managing the movement of rejected material to source.
- Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management.
- Finds and corrects root cause of material shortages.
- May provide recommendations for solutions.
- Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
- May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials.
- Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance.
- Resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
- Implements the output from the engineering release and change management process.
Required skills:
- Microsoft Excel user, spreadsheet analysis, functions, charting.
- Ability to collect data from various sources and problem solve.
- Ability to interact with multiple functional groups to collect data and resolve issues.
- Manager looking for candidates to have degree in Business related field, open to all candidates with aggressive work style and strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail is a must.
