What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at Kelly?
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay: $22 hr
Shift: 1st shift
Hours: 7 am to 4 pm
Duties:
- Use a variety of tools (pneumatic, manual, electric) and equipment (Cranes) to assemble gearboxes and winches according to internal procedures and specifications
- Read and interpret drawings, sketches and written instructions to assemble our products, meeting defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements.
- Pull parts needed to build products by forklift according to the pull-sheet.
- Ensure quality by looking for faulty components or parts.
- Test finished products to ensure functionality.
- Be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds and stand on their feet for long periods of time
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat, maintaining clean shipping supply area and complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Positively contribute to a team environment by accomplishing other tasks requested of you in a timely fashion.
Job Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of experience assembling by use of a drawing, diagram or schematic
- Use of hand and power tools
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer and Data Entry
- High School Diploma or higher
- Forklift experience preferred
- Resume required
