Responsibilities
.The Cardiology Lab Echo/Doppler technician is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies, and when not occupied with those duties, acts as the administrative and technical support for all procedures provided by the cardiology lab. These procedures include EKGs, Holter monitoring, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, satellite test transmissions and result coordination.

.Salary Range: $40 per hour (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)
.Qualifications
.Education
.Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
.Preferred: Graduate of an accredited echo cardiographer training program
.Experience
.Required: 1 or more years of direct clinical experience in all phases of echocardiography. Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists.
.Preferred: Greater than 2 years' experience performing echocardiography
.GE Ultrasound, Phillips Ultrasound
.License(s)
.Required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or CCI)
.BCLS certification
.Preferred: NA
.Special Skills
.Required: Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience
.Preferred: Speaks an additional language
.Other
.Required: May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor or the Exercise Physiologist Coordinator.
.Preferred: Willing to cross train to support other Cardiology Lab functions and expand services.
