Operations Coordinator

MISSION

The mission of the Operations Coordinator is to assist the Production team in meeting safety, quality, efficiency, and daily production schedules. This role provides support to Production Supervisors and will collaborate across departments and all levels of the organization.

KEY OUTCOMES

1. OUTCOME: Support the Brighton Operations daily workflow and activities

• Review completed Production orders to ensure accurate material and labor consumption, prior to moving orders to ‘reported as finished’ status.
• Maintain inventory accuracy within production ‘IN’ locations and throughout warehouse.
• Assist Production Supervisors and the Training Coordinator in keeping training sheets updated for associates.
• Create Production Job Instructions in accordance with most efficient work processes.
• Support Building F as a back up to fill in for closing production orders and creating production job instructions.
• Support Building B as a back up to fill in for Order Processing and Kitting when needed.

2. OUTCOME: WO Closing and Data Integrity

• Review labor hours against work order standards to verify that data appears correct for hours logged
• Validate raw materials and scrap issuance against variance reporting, prior to reporting as finished in D365.
• Coordinate with Supervisors to confirm inventory as needed to ensure data integrity
• Close all work orders for Production (A); goal within 30 minutes.

3. OUTCOME: Ensure all Continuous Improvement projects and new processes are implemented and consistently maintained

• Lead and assist others in continuous improvement projects
• Enter Suggestions for improvement, and follow up on Suggestions when assigned

STRENGTHS TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• High School Diploma
• Experience in a Warehousing/Distribution Environment and foundational knowledge of Operations
• Demonstrated team builder who takes pride in working with others to meet goals
• Solution-oriented with solid root cause analysis skills
• Good people skills and ability to help others grow and develop
• Knowledge of department metrics
• Math acumen and understanding of department success measurement (Metrics)
• Understanding of Inventory transactions; Inventory correction knowledge
• Computer Skills (Excel, JDE, Microsoft) and ability and willingness to learn new technology
