Description

Mission: 

  • Grow sales by prospecting potential customers to win new programs.
  • Responsible for business development within targeted accounts or verticals from prospecting to lead qualification to quote to close.
  • This position reports to the Director of Sales.
  • This position can be performed from a remote location.
  • This position requires up to 80% travel to customers and occasional travel to internal regional sites (IN, MI, and WI).

Key Outcomes: 

1. Grow sales through new customer accounts

•    Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales and gross profit targets.
•    Lead business development activities to achieve new program awards, with a focus on programs greater than $1M-$3M million annual sales.
•    Win new business within existing customer accounts through selling additional services or adding products to existing programs. 
•    Manage sales opportunities via Kem Krest Gate/Qualification Process to ensure internal alignment and customer satisfaction. 
•    Manage hand-off of established accounts to Account Executives. 
•    Represent Kem Krest as the owner of the commercial relationship with newer growth accounts.

2. Grow and manage sales pipeline

•    Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual pipeline and business development targets.  
•    Identify and qualify prospects through cold calling, industry events, trade shows, expansion of existing relationships, and other means.
•    Gain deep understanding of prospects’ pain points and propose solutions that align with Kem Krest’s capabilities.
•    Develop trusted relationships with customers to create proprietary sales opportunities.
•    Respond quickly to open RFQs in a professional manner.
•    Manage new prospective customer opportunities and activities in CRM Tool.

3. Increase awareness of Kem Krest's solutions within target customers and industry verticals

•    Become an expert in Kem Krest’s target verticals, including automotive, construction, agriculture, heavy duty trucking, and powersports.
•    Understand and anticipate customer and industry needs.
•    Understand and articulate Kem Krest’s value proposition and capabilities.
•    Cultivate industry relationships and make introductions to appropriate Kem Krest personnel. 
•    Participate in OEM customer or dealer meetings, regional meetings and conferences as needed.
•    Communicate customer and prospect needs to marketing organization

Qualifications


Requirements: 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage business development from prospect to lead to quote to close 
  • 5 years experience in a customer-facing role such as business development, sales, or account management
  • Experience in automotive, construction, agriculture, heavy duty trucking, powersports, or industrial industries is preferred
  • Experience selling supply chain, packaging, kitting, manufacturing, or distribution solutions is preferred 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Track record of responsiveness to customer needs
  • Strong financial acumen, including familiarity with financial statements, return-on-investment analysis, time value of money, margin analysis, quotes, and pricing
  • Exceptional work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems is preferred
  • Ability to work with and build trust with customers and coworkers
  • Bachelor’s degree
