What Will You Be Doing?

Perform all required duties to operate forging equipment and furnace to produce a variety of company products following established methods and procedures.

· Load furnace with required stock and adjust furnace to assure proper heating of material prior to upsetting.

· Set up, make adjustments and operate upset equipment moving stock through progressive or step dies to forge sockets, center knobs and pierce components to process material to produce tools to specified sizes and quality finish.

· Perform normal oiling and greasing of machinery to assure proper operation.

· Maintain set up by replacement of broken/worn punches and springs. Assist in other repairs as required.

· Perform other related duties as required, such as assist in furnace rebuild this includes material handling.

· Detect and report all material defects and machine malfunctions.

· Maintain and service the equipment within the limit of abilities.

· Maintain the machine area in a clean and orderly condition.

· Follow standard safety and OSHA regulations

What do we think would make you successful in this role?

· Possess at least 5 years of metal forging experience.

· Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs frequently.

· Ability to read blueprints.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to repetitively bend, lift and reach.

· Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.

· Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.

· Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

· Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

· Ability to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and

· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture.

· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic.
