Job Summary: Performs oversight and coordination of renovation and similar in-house projects across Kendal at Lexington. Excellent customer service skills and administrative skills are critical.
Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of relevant work/construction management experience. Excellent administrative skills including expertise in the use of Microsoft Office. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with the public, residents, contractors, and Kendal staff. Proven ability in organizational skills with a demonstrated capability to complete tasks thoroughly and effectively and to achieve maximum productivity in accomplishing the tasks. Ability to multi-task and perform work independently, making decisions that are consistent with Kendal’s vision and values, that meet the community's needs, and reflect a constant awareness of the ever-changing environment at the facility.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and coordinate all renovation projects for incoming residents
- Oversee and coordinate in-house projects as assigned by the Director of Facilities Services
- Manage weekly renovation meetings – updating Directors and Managers with information regarding renovations, move-in-dates, and other issues/problems / solutions/requests pertaining to the resident and the renovation
- Place orders for renovations, working closely with vendors regarding products and delivery
- Work closely with Director of Facilities Services and Marketing department staff, especially the Move-In Coordinator, regarding renovations, schedules, timelines, move-in-dates, and special requests
- Work closely with subcontractors regarding products/paint, etc.
- Work with Director of Facilities Services and Marketing on an annual budget
- Look for new product opportunities
- Keep projects and facilities within code requirements
- Schedule walk-through inspections
- Manage punch list items
- Create and maintain project documentation, plans, reports, photos, videos, etc. of projects
- Completes appropriate incident, accident, startup, and service reports
- Purchase and coordinate delivery of supplies, parts, and needed equipment as requested
- Assists on special projects
