Salary:
- Piece Based / Production based
- $1,445 - $1,730 gross weekly
- Weekly pay, one week in the rears.

Fiber Optic Technician Requirements:
- Prior experience installing fiber optic or copper internet services in customer homes
- A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Must have your own vehicle capable of having a ladder rack added to it. Mileage/Usage of your vehicle is reimbursed for every job/work order.
- No overnight travel!
This is a w2 role. For technicians who are currently doing this kind of work as a 1099 this means you would no longer need to purchase Work Comp Insurance, Health Insurance, and more.
Fiber Optic Technician Summary: Seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic internet service at customer homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience working with fiber optic or copper networks, and excellent communication skills.
Fiber Optic Technician Responsibilities:
- Receive work orders from internet provider for work to be done in customer home.
- Install and test fiber optic cables. Troubleshoot fiber optic cable issues and perform repairs as necessary.
- Install and test ONT and modems and set-top TV boxes.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Use test equipment, such as OTDRs, power meters, and light sources, to measure and verify network performance.
- Provide technical support to customers and other team members.
Additional Information for Fiber Optic Technician role:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with fiber optic networks.
- Knowledge of fiber optic or copper cable installation, splicing, termination, and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
