Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Sales Manager at our location in Dublin, CA. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales process, developing and implementing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining current customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their technical requirements and business challenges.
- Solution Selling: Present Kensington Laboratories' products and capabilities effectively to prospects. Provide technical expertise and recommend appropriate solutions to meet customer needs.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the assigned territory or customer base.
- Product Expertise: Stay updated on Kensington Laboratories' product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions as required.
- Proposal Development: Prepare accurate and timely quotations, proposals, and contract negotiations. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proposals align with customer requirements.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities. Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
- Customer Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, technical support, and post-sales activities. Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A technical background in mechanical engineering, robotics, automation, or semiconductor equipment is preferred.
- Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role within the semiconductor, robotics or automation industry. Familiarity with motion control systems and precision engineering is advantageous.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10% travel expected).
