What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Member position at Kent Jewelry, LLC?
Kent Jewelry is a specialized design house and custom jeweler that designs, builds, and does all benchwork in-house. While assisting clients is a major component of the job, we try to play to the interests our employees have by pairing them with existing needs within the company. As a small but growing company, it is common for members of our team to fulfill multiple roles. Some of our needs include:
· Marketing expertise – specifically for e-commerce and social media
· Photography experience, especially any experience with product photography
· Jewelry design experience, either drawn or through CAD design (BONUS: Matrix-Gold Experience)
· Retail expertise in either jewelry or fashion
About Kent's:
Kent Jewelry has been serving south-central Missouri for decades with a second location in Kirkwood since 2021 . More than a typical fine jewelry store, Kent’s focuses on designing and casting custom jewelry completely in-house. The company is Missouri’s only Fairmined certified jeweler meaning that our custom products are made with sustainably and ethically sourced materials. We are looking for a teammate who shares our values, will learn the ropes, and will work with us to continue to build the business beyond retail and into manufacturing and artistry.
The ideal candidate should, at a minimum:
· Enjoy talking and engaging with customers from all backgrounds and walks of life
· Have an eye for design, quality, and attention to deal, and carry pride in one's work
· Be trustworthy with valuables and have a quick mind for basic math and calculation
· Possess an interest in fashion and jewelry, and/or an interest in art and making things
· Be comfortable with working on projects in a team while self-managing their responsibilities independently
Compensation: $16-$25/hr depending on skill and experience level. Candidates with a high amount of experience are encouraged to apply, and compensation could be adjusted further accordingly.
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:30-6:00 and every other Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Students who may be navigating a class schedule are encouraged to still apply.
