Job Description to include but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Overview
Provides complete services for members and their guests relating to full coordination and management of groups commencing play on the golf course while providing superior service in a demanding environment.
Must be available to work weekend and holiday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Starts play on the golf course and explains applicable rules of the day
- Ensures proper dress code policy is being adhered to
- Provides overview of respective course etiquette practices
- Controls the queue of groups wanting to play
- Interacts with a personal and professional attitude towards members and staff
- Organizes Starter Podiums with respective amenities
- Uses iPad and applicable software to input players and guests names into the tee sheet
- Checks the scorecard and pencil boxes on the 2nd and 10th tee
- Helps inform the Professional Staff of relevant information
- Communicates with Golf Shop to ensure proper billing, rounds counts and guest allocations for charges
- Must be able to carry and move a set of golf clubs
- Performs other duties as required
- Ensures disability flags issued only to those with proper registration
- Communicates with Outside Staff personnel regarding groups and players
- Assists in all special events of the Golf Department
- Assists all staff members in enforcing policies, procedures and services to our membership.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of Kenwood Country Club.
Qualifications
- Previous country club experience or customer service experience preferred.
- Mobility to carry and lift golf bags above the head weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to remain on one’s feet and work in outside conditions for long periods.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and members.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 18 year or older with a valid drivers license.
