Safety Manager Assistant
Kenyon Plastering is a Scaffold/Lath/Stucco Subcontractor located in San Marcos, CA. We are looking for a full time safety manager to help maintain and implement our company’s safety policies both in the office as well as out on our job sites. Salary is based upon experience.
Duties:
- Duties will vary on a daily basis but may include:
Preview projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety related risks
Visit active projects sites to assess on going work conditions to ensure compliance
Ensure all required safety documentation is available on site at each project
Walk/Climb scaffold on current projects to ensure that it is set per OSHA standards
Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues
Write up incident reports when there is a safety incident at current projects
Run toolbox talks with field crews to ensure they are fully informed as to the safety requirements on the project
Maintain and organize safety related paper work for project
Requirements
Bilingual – English and Spanish Required
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Hour certification required
CPR certified
Physically and mentally capable to climb scaffold regularly
Good communication skills – Ability to communicate both orally and written
Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations pertaining to scaffold
Good recordkeeping abilities – The construction safety manager must be able to maintain good records of all safety related activities
Knowledge of general construction
Must have a valid/clear California Driver’s License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
