- Oversee, coordinate, and monitor all Clinical team activities.
- Ensure adequate staffing and contractual service levels are adhered to by implementing and monitoring clinical staff productivity and performance indicators. Maintains effective team member relations.
- Leads team members in improving skills, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Work with management team to develop and enhance the operational structure including skill set requirements, gap analysis, and training using workforce planning.
- Manages and completes assigned work plan objectives and projects on a timely basis.
- Provide advice and assistance to leaders in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures. Collaborate with leadership in the development of new and enhanced products and services.
- Represents the clinical department by participating on committees, task forces, work groups, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintains professional relationships with provider community and external customers and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Participates in the development of policies and oversees clinical staff activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards, quality assurance and inter-rater reliability.
- Provides reports of compliance and other activities.
- NC licensed Physician with minimum of three years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- NC licensed Psychology/Ph.D. with a minimum of three years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- NC licensed Social Work/Ph.D. with a minimum of three years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- NC licensed Psychology/Masters Level with a minimum of four years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- NC licensed Social Work/Masters Level with a minimum of four years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- NC licensed Registered Nurse with a master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing and a minimum of four years of experience in diagnosing and treating mental illness and/or IDD/RC;
- Other – A mental health and/or Intellectual/Developmental disabilities (IDD/DD) professional with a combination of training and experience that is similar or equivalent to the qualifications stated above that includes:
- Clinical training and experience that includes diagnosing and treating mental illness;
- A determination and certification by the Contractor that the individual is competent to perform PASRR Level II MI Evaluations.
- Experience in the field of IDD/DD that includes direct experience assessing individuals for IDD/RC, including the use of standardized tests to assess intelligence, academic achievement, social development, adaptive behavior, and functional level;
- A minimum of four years of experience in performing PASRR Level II IDD/RC Evaluations.
- Knowledge of NCQA/URAC standards strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the organization of medical records, medical terminology, and disease process required.
- Strong clinical/social assessment and critical thinking skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to address, resolve and process problems impeding the service needs.
- Proactively identify and resolves delays and obstacles.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills needed.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, Internet/Web Navigation
- Must have high-speed (no dial-up) internet at home.
- Must be willing to travel and have active, unrestricted license, reliable transportation and active auto insurance.
- Must have an OSHA complaint home workspace committed to confidentiality of PHI.
- 5 years of clinical experience required.
- 5 years staff/workload management experience required.
- Experience with stated State Medicaid program (PASRR/LCA), strongly preferred.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, strongly preferred.
- Experience in Behavioral Health and Home Health services, strongly preferred.
