About the role
The Asset Reliability Manager will provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department responsible for the site asset care/uptime, maintenance, project identification, prepare maintenance capital project planning, sustainability management.
Key responsibilities
- Leading plant-specific vision and mission to assure continuous maintenance improvement and alignment with the corporate vision.
- Provide leadership in implementing root cause analysis, corrective actions and maintaining the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure all plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment.
- Collaborate directly with human resources to insure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved.
- Manage maintenance department costs within budgetary guidelines and initiate cost savings measures.
- Responsible for working with Asset life cycle management and planned maintenance
- Ensure that all manufacturing / facility systems are properly resourced and that all resources are efficiently utilized.
- Ensure all maintenance related works align with corporate engineering standards including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements.
- Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
- Continuously apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve obstacles to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure that appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained.
- Schedule mandatory inspections and coordinate certifications and appropriate authorities.
- Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers.
- Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime / inefficient operational issues.
- Ensure environmental compliance and all quality and regulatory standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded.
Qualifications and skills
- Mechanical Engineering degree is required.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing Industry preferred
- 5 total years maintenance engineering field in a manufacturing environment
- Including 2 years Supervisory / Management experience
- Proven experience in project management execution
- Good understanding or mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience TPM and/or Lean initiatives
- Experience predictive/preventive maintenance programs
- Strong computer application skills, network and PC business application software
- Budget planning and managing

Salary : $78,800 - $99,700
