Our Evansville, IN, location is part of our Meat division, and creates various breading, batter, and coating blends for Kerry brands and customers. 2nd, 3rd or Off Shift (6pm – 6am), due to our current shift needs we ask that you be open to considering all three shift arrangements
Key responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Sample procedures to ensure quality checks
- Attention to detail and record keeping
- Review and plan for the daily production schedule specific to your position
- Stage raw material (bags, supersacks) inventory
- Must be able to drive a fork truck
- Tracking and trending SPC charting for bag weights and make necessary adjustments
- Ensures hourly metal detector checks are completed and documented
- Maintain a clean workspace during production and at the end of the shift
- Reports to the Lead Operator
- Report all Accidents and Near-Misses immediately.
- Report all Maintenance issues to Lead Operator to enter into the Maintenance work order system
- Create positive relationships with coworkers
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and skills
Experience:
- 1 years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
- Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely.
- Ability to drive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal relationships.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
