About the role
SUMMARY: Monitors all shipments to assure that raw materials and finished products meet internal and external customer requirements that may include but not be limited to: FIFO rotation, physical, sensory and micro parameters, documentation such as certificates of analysis (COA’s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare and maintain records to track products, quantities and lot codes.
Review products due to ship out and assign appropriate quantities and lot codes for shipment.
Prepare COA’s and send to customers as required.
Using the centralized inventory system (MAPICS), hold or release products and raw materials as appropriate so that the inventory may be adjusted accordingly.
Record appropriate data into computer;
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards or processes to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Communicates areas of responsibility to lab technicians, shipping personnel, and receiving personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
