Overview

We are seeking a VP, Human Resources to help create and execute innovative HR programs that will attract talent and drive employee engagement and retention.  We are looking for a passionate HR generalist who is ready to join a fun, collaborative HR team. This is a hands on HR role that will have responsibilities for the full employee life cycle from recruitment to separation.

 

This position will be responsible for the core HR areas including recruitment, employee onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, employment law compliance, employee relations and talent attraction. The right candidate must be highly adaptable, motivated, a natural relationship builder and ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This is a position for a self-motivated, strategic thinker, who understands organization development and efficiency, and is a stickler for details.

About the Job

  • In collaboration with others assist with creating impactful talent programs to drive attraction and retention of employees
  • As a member of the HR team, you will provide generalist HR support across multiple business units in areas including, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, HR operations (including compensation, HRIS and benefits), and employee relations
  • Responsible for sourcing, "woo-ing", interviewing and hiring of top talent at all levels
  • Partner closely with management to thoroughly understand the needs of the business, be close to current and future hiring needs, and develop the best search strategy to identify and attract exceptional candidates in a fast growing, competitive market
  • Work closely with all levels of employees to build relationships, provide HR support and drive the business strategy
  • Monitor Performance Management Program compliance to ensure timely and valuable performance processes; help identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps; develop specific recommendations to fill gaps
  • Execute the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR function, including salary and new hire administration, reporting and tracking. Drive continuous improvement in all processes and systems
  • Critically analyze current HR programs and, partnering with the HR leaders, design, develop and implement changes to drive continuous improvement
  • Connect and build relationships with other HR professionals across the agency network to ensure alignment and use of best practices

Qualifications

  • 8 plus years of generalist HR experience as well as recruiting experience
  • Proven track record in successfully implementing HR programs
  • Proven project management skills and project leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking, with strong influencing, problem solving, mediation and decision making skills
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels of employees
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Agency (Digital, PR, Advertising), billable environment or service industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s preferred, PHR or SHRM certification a plus IND13 #LI-ML1
