Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the identification and assessment of the KHN’s risk areas and provides input into the development of the annual audit plan.
- Leads and coordinates the planning and execution of audit projects by:
- Developing detailed work programs
- Conducting interviews and compiling information;
- Performing and documenting audit procedures;
- Analyzing financial and operational data and evaluating internal controls;
- Identifying and communicating meaningful audit findings and recommendations; and
- Managing follow-up on audit issues and action plans.
- Mentors and coaches audit staff in all aspects of audit projects including technical accounting and business process matters, audit techniques, effective utilization of data, project management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Represents internal audit on organizational project teams or as otherwise assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 6 years of auditing or accounting experience including prior direct supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Healthcare sector
- Experience with IDEA, ACL or other data analysis tool is strongly desired
- MBA
- CPA
