Keva Summer Adventure Camp Leader
This is a temporary three-week position. Other employment opportunities are available if desired for the entirety of the Summer.
9am-5pm

In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Position purpose
The Adventure Camp Leader is responsible for leading and supervising a group of children throughout the day. Additionally, coach must lead a group of 12 campers through various field trips on a tight schedule. They will also be responsible for the general safety and well being of the campers in his/her group.
General Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Transport campers using KEVA 14-passenger Van.
- Identify and respond to camper behavior issues.
- Communicate with camp director about participant’s experiences (both positive and negative).
- Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
- Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your campers’ safety and their whereabouts at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years old with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Upon hire, completion of provided First Aid and CPR certification.
- Education classes or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or in a related field.
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to have fun and encourage community at camp.
Special Position Requirements
- Camp will travel daily to different locations.
- Lead Coach will need to be able to drive small passenger bus, no special license required.
- Physically demanding position - candidate must be able to perform all physical activities associated with position including lifting up to 50lbs.
