Job Description:
Please provide a short description of the project: The SFS Program’s mission is to develop, implement and maintain a single, statewide financial system for use by the State Comptroller, Division of the Budget, and all agencies.
Please provide a full listing of the day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant (be descriptive and specific): The consultant will perform communication, web development, and some project management tasks including:
• Content management using the Joomla! platform
• Daily and irregular website postings (approximating 1,000 per year), e.g.:
o Defect Report
o Agency Incidents
o List of Value Added Resellers
o List of Agency Coordinators / Employee Data Administrators
• Web page / content set up and maintenance:
o Web development including style sheets, templates, web page coding
o Supports routine web page creation and content posting for SFS events, e.g.: FYE, Lapsing, P2P, InnerVue, Personnel – HR announcements
o Tests new web pages and components
• Web maintenance
o Categorization and maintenance of content management system tags and metadata
o Organization and clean-up of outdated content
o Development of a maintenance handbook – a technical guide to maintain SFS’s websites
• Upgrade and maintain current versions of Joomla! plug-ins and troubleshooting if functionality is interrupted
• SharePoint page maintenance and updates
• Special projects as required (e.g., administration of Statewide Learning Management System courses)
The consultant will complete web-related tasks across six servers (a production and development server for each of SFS’s websites).
