Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL that is seeking a skilled Accountant with expertise in utilizing ADP payroll systems and experience in evaluating and implementing new financial software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll functions, financial reporting, and leading the assessment of new software solutions to enhance the efficiency of financial operations. Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll functions, financial reporting, and leading the assessment of new software solutions to enhance the efficiency of financial operations. Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll processes using ADP, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees; Address any payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; Ensure accuracy in general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Research, vet, and recommend new financial software solutions that align with the company's needs; Lead the implementation and integration of new systems into existing workflows; Ensure smooth transitions and proper training for staff on new systems
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely billing, collections, and payments; Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and all relevant regulations; Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation and reports
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts; Provide variance analysis and reporting to senior management
- Maintain the integrity of financial data by ensuring accurate and timely data entry; Continuously assess current financial processes for optimization and system enhancements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with hands-on experience using ADP payroll systems
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating and implementing financial or accounting software
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) and Excel for data analysis
- Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes and software for efficiency gains
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with various teams and stakeholders
- Experience with ERP systems and cloud-based accounting software
- Knowledge of tax and payroll regulations
- Project management experience, particularly related to system implementations
