Residential Real Estate Accounting experience preferred. Yardi **ONLY NORTHERN NJ CANDIDATES RESIDENTS WILL CONSIDERED**

This position will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day activities of resident billings, collections and preparation of financial statements for residential buildings. Maintain proper control over accounting procedures and transactions.

Responsibilities include (not all inclusive):

· Assemble necessary documents and prepare supporting schedules (Insurance, Real Estate Taxes, Interest Expense, etc) to assist in preparing annual tax returns and work papers.

· Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.

· Review general ledger activity to verify information has been posted correctly.

· Maintain filing system of all companies.

· Prepare and review monthly billing reports to ensure following month’s recurring charges and past due charges are accurate.

· Prepare security deposit refund requests and analysis and reconciliation of security accounts.

· Abstract and input all rental obligations related to leases and all other important lease information such as compliance – Insurance certificates, pest control, maintenance, HVAC, etc.

Bachelor’s degree – Accounting, Finance or Business, 2-5 years of real estate experience. Intelligent, team player, highly organized and independent, knowledge of Excel and YARDI or other Real Estate Software programs.
