What are the responsibilities and job description for the PDI Technician position at Kia Store East?
Montgomery Automotive Group is a leading retailer of cars and trucks in the region and our Kia Store East is currently hiring a PDI technician. As a PDI technician you can expect to perform pre delivery inspections from Kia, perform recalls, test drive vehicles, and other duties as assigned.
PDI Technician Duties:
- Inspects new vehicles for damage.
- Test drive new vehicles to determine any issues the vehicles may have.
- Start the engine on new vehicles and test other components such as the breaks, steering, and transmission.
- Inspect that the windows, seats, radio, horn, lights and signals are operating correctly.
- Inspect outside of vehicle for damage to the exterior of the vehicle including damage to the paint.
- Perform recalls on the vehicles.
- Fill vehicles with gas, oil, and other necessary liquids.
- Perform detail work on inside and outside of vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
PDI Technician Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous technician experience is preferred but not required.
