Position Summary:
The Sales Analyst uses sales metrics to analyze performance to evaluate and predict sales trends according to a range of factors, specifically examining monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for growth or improvement. This role is critical to sales strategy, planning, and providing insights for cross functional leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to analyze large quantities of data, quickly produce insights and confidently present to our sales and leadership team.
- Develop methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data.
- Closely study past sales data to determine trends in productivity.
- Work closely with cross functional departments to support sales, marketing, and supply chain processes
- Support the day to day needs of the sales team and support sales operations projects as needed
- All other duties as needed
Specific Tasks:
- Create and present sales reports, compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends
- Track promotional event results. Suggest adjustments and revisions to promotional strategies to improve sales and profitability.
- Assist sales and demand planning teams to ensure inventory levels are sufficient to support financial objectives.
- Support sales and marketing in the execution of a variety of reporting and analysis the SKU level.
- Offer guidance using insights to influence decisions and guide the overall strategy, present actionable information to team members and management
- Deliver on ad hoc requests for additional sales needs regarding data pulls, presentation development
- Attend weekly calls and meetings with Sales Directors as needed
- Present sales reports to company managers, directors, and executives
Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar function
- Sharp attention for details
- Accurate, organized, efficient; manages multiple projects with multiple timelines at once
- Strong communication skills, collaboration, solution-oriented attitude
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels, including executives
- Ability to manage projects from a remote location
- Excellent MS Office application skills including Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Experience with Tableau strongly preferred
- Excellent MS Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
