Shipping Specialist

Reputable aerospace manufacture is looking for a Shipping Specialist to play a vital role in maintaining precise shipping records and overseeing both inbound and outbound shipments, both domestically and internationally.

• Pay$ 24.00 to $26.00 (DOE)
• Location: Fullerton, CA

Essential Functions:

• Ensure all import/export clearance activities are executed in compliance with applicable company, corporate, regulatory and government rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all import/export records are stored in compliance with company and corporate policies, and available for auditing reviews as needed.
• Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to convey shipment statuses and address any limitations, ensuring the attainment of optimal on-time delivery throughout the logistics cycle.
• Review freight invoices to validate accuracy in billing, and work with freight parties to reconcile any discrepancies identified.
• Possess comprehensive understanding of all aspects of shipping procedures, functions, and documentation requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and productivity enhancements for all shipping operations.
• Undertake any additional duties as delegated.

Qualifications: 

• Thorough knowledge of various transportation modes for both domestic and international shipments
• Proficiency in Customs Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
• Familiarity with general transportation, import/export processes, and international shipping terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Epicor is advantageous
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Willingness to participate in special tasks and projects as assigned
• Positive attitude, self-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
