Kimley-Horn has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated Practice Builder/Senior Project Manager to join our team in Oklahoma City. Our Practice Builders have an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for their practice while contributing to the growth of the civil practice in the Central Region.
You will lead the business development efforts with local architects and developers while building and managing your relationship with these key clients. Markets are not limited by geography but driven by relationships. Leadership responsibilities include: operating with integrity and sound business principals; providing practice vision, business planning and strategy; establishing goals; building and maintaining positive client relationships; having open communication with your partners and team; and growing and leading your land development practice. Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and act as a positive leader and mentor. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.

A. Prospective Client relationship building• Meet with existing client prospects with a partner from Kimley-Horn to convey confidence in your new team and firm to pursue work with that client and to cross-sell other practices, where appropriate.• Leverage existing Kimley Horn clients to expand service offerings. Collaborate with practice teams in other offices who share client relationships that may benefit your practice and vise-versa.• Participate in community and professional organizations to promote the Kimley-Horn brand and the practice.• Identify new clients and future opportunities beyond those identified in the projections with support from local, regional, and national marketing resources.
B. Project Management• Develop an understanding of Kimley-Horn’s financial task and project management best practices.• Work with the existing staff in Oklahoma City and across the region in partnership with a Regional Production Manager to develop a successful project implementation strategy for new projects.• Provide exceptional service to clients while maintaining sustained profitability.
C. Recruiting and Team Development• Collaborate with practice and support partners to develop a sustainable plan for staffing support including identifying and engaging in recruiting opportunities.
• Develop a project team to profitably produce projects and deliver exceptional client service. Develop the team’s ability to identify, pursue, and win opportunities from existing and new clients.• Demonstrate Kimley-Horn culture to the practice team and office.
