Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Roadway Civil Engineer/EIT with 2 years of Roadway design experience to join our Orlando, Florida, FL office!
Responsibilities
Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of civil engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Horizontal and vertical alignments
- Grading and Drainage design
- Streetscape and roadway improvements
- Multimodal design, including multi-use trails and complete streets
- Signage, striping and signalization plans
Qualifications
- An engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in these majors:
- Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical, Biological, Agricultural, or Chemical Engineering
- 2 or more years of relevant roadway design experience
- EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to apple technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
- Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
- Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
