What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Brand & Creative Services position at Kin Insurance?
So, what’s the role?
We’re looking for a Director of Brand & Creative Services to help shape our brand strategy, and design and deliver memorable customer experiences via compelling verbal and visual storytelling. The role plays a key role in providing brand and creative solutions across the enterprise to increase brand equity and support the company's goals and key priorities. Passionate about values, storytelling, and consumer engagement, you will make Kin’s brand, products, and purpose resonate with our target audiences. You will champion our values and be responsible for creating memorable brand defining stories that drive customer engagement. You will have the opportunity to put your mark on the growing home insurance market, where direct-to-consumer models are ripe with storytelling opportunities. In this role, you will closely partner with the Chief Marketing Officer, and other senior leaders to set the brand strategy, and lead a lean creative and content team.
A day in the life could include:
- Brand management, creative strategy and development from ideation to execution (content strategy, copywriting, graphic design, videography).
- Help develop and refine our value proposition in different markets and segments..
- Lead the development and refinement of compelling brand stories and messages across the customer journey.
- Distill actionable customer insights from qualitative and quantitative research to inform our brand and content strategy.
- Collaborate with the Channel Marketers to support campaigns emphasizing our unique value proposition to accelerate product adoption.
- Partner with our Product UX and Design team to ensure consistent customer experience (look, feel, tone) through the funnel.
- Team with our Directors of HR and Communications to reimagine our new hire experience to emphasize our core values.
- Provide insights on marketing trends and market research that lead to new creative approaches to brand awareness, and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the PR team as needed and to support our corporate objectives.
I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?
- 8 years’ experience in brand development, content creation, social, and overseeing creative services (either direct or indirect); corporate experience a plus.
- 3 years of people management experience
- Undergraduate degree in design, marketing, communications, creative production, advertising or other relevant degree.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including display ads, SEM/SEO, social media, and email.
- Proven leadership ability and experience developing and retaining high performing teams.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to motivate and inspire agencies and partners.
