Job Title: Support Services Associate

Report To: Support Center Manager/Operations Manager/ VP – Chief Operations Officer/EVP/President-CEO

Classification Code: Non-Exempt


General Purpose


Provides support to the operation of the branches and back office departments by accurately performing non-sales branch processes in a timely manner.  


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Verifies and processes ATM deposit reports, and receives ATM total member cash deposits for deposits into MAA account. Accountable for the tracking and accuracy of reports associated with ATM responsibilities.
  2. Resubmits checks received from MAA, PTMs, branches and back office and resubmits for processing, as needed.
  3. Processes and posts payments and deposits received from membership along with miscellaneous requests received via mail.
  4. Processes and distributes email received from the credit union website. 
  5. Responsible for scanning of credit union documents.  
  6. Performs quality control review of all credit union accounts. 
  7. Maintains and processes accounts, as directed.
  8. Monitors MTS check printer and ensures checks are mailed out in a timely manner. 
  9. Performs, tracks, and effectively communicates Bridger Insight information to the appropriate areas when transactions pertain to non-members. 
  10. Increases relationships per member by promoting products and services that add value to the member and the credit union.
  11. Processes Verification of Deposits.
  12. Monitors leased ATM’s for servicing issues.
  13. Processes designated member reports.
  14. Processes eBranch and bill pay inquiries for branches.
  15. Orders checks, processes cancelled checks, processes collection items, processes returned items, processes checks taken from Federal Reserve deposits, and processes mail requests to reopen a checking account, and requests to upgrade from Basic Checking accounts.
  16. Maintains stop payment requests.
  17. Performs research and rescans check deposits associated with teller capture adjustments. 
  18. Maintains and processes accounts, as directed.
  19. Orders visa cards on new visa accounts and when authorized users are added.

20. Attend annual training on BSA/AML to remain current on any changes to these policies and procedures and remain compliant.

21. Completes SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) when applicable according to policies and procedures set forth by Kinetic Credit Union, in accordance to BSA/AML regulations, and turns over to appropriate parties in a timely manner.

22. Understands and adheres to all Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures set in place to ensure compliance.

23. Participates in the Community Involvement goals of the credit union.Responsible for completing Information Security Awareness training as directed by management.

24. Responsible for complying with GLBA, Safe Act, Regs B, D, E, CC, Z and other regulatory requirements.


Additional Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Assists in the operation of the branch or Communication Center, when needed.
  2. Assists with securing titles for all consumer loan collateral loans.
  3. Assists with pulling titles to be released and answering credit union questions in regards to title applications, changes or name changes.   
  4. Cross trains to perform other duties in department/credit union as needed.
  5. Responsible for maintaining a current Learning Action Plan in conjunction with the performance management system.  
  6. Performs additional duties as directed by management.  


Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent, and a commensurate level of language, math and reasoning skills. Because work at multiple credit union facilities and other locations is involved, the Support Services Associate must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record. In addition, two years of experience in a related field with similar responsibilities is preferred. Formal training should be supplemented with appropriate continuing education.


Supervisory Responsibilities

None.


Work Environment/Physical Activities

This position requires limited physical effort. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or to lift and move at least 25 pounds. The ability to read small print and color vision may also be required. In addition, the employee must be able to work a flexible schedule, included but not limited to Saturday and holiday hours. The job calls for a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The job requires a degree of attention to details.  


Job requires access to credit union’s network and core data processing system. Core system roles are assigned by Chief Operations Officer.
