What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Service Technician position at Kinetics Noise Control?
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for safely carrying out various maintenance tasks - from installing and inspecting machines and electrical equipment and carrying out preventive maintenance to ensuring KNC's production machines remain operational. Will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of the KNC facility, including most of its assets. Must be committed to providing our customers (internal and external) a product that is safe and one that meets specifications, regulations, all while meeting statutory requirements.
In this role, you will be expected to gain an in depth understanding of the technical and operational aspects of the equipment and facility. This is a hands-on role that will require you to operate equipment, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across multiple pieces of equipment. Other responsibilities will include conducting scheduled preventative maintenance as well as diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
To ensure success as a KNC maintenance technician, you should have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills. Ultimately, a top-class industrial maintenance technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance.
DAILY & MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operates various pieces of equipment (i.e., forklift, crane, etc.)
- Reports any mechanical problems
- Utilizes continuous-improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and required work-safe practices
- Communicates and enforces company policies to the KNC team, including safety regulations
- Responsible for in-process inspection procedures
- Optimize production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
- Focused on resources and goals of the KNC team

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Regular attendance and being on time are a must
- High school diploma or GED
- Industrial Maintenance experience in a related industry
- Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards
- Physical skills - movement, coordination, and dexterity
- General knowledge of painting, plumbing, facility upkeep, and general housekeeping
Mathematical Ability:
- Able to use math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. (required).
- Must be able to traverse throughout manufacturing areas and offices.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Able to sit up to stand or sit 6 or more hours a day. (required)
- Repetitive motions with hands; grasping and fine manipulation. (required)
- Requires prolonged periods of bending, kneeling and lifting. (required)
Work Environment:
Manufacturing Plant. Safety glasses and steel toe work boots required. Exposed to normal manufacturing hazards.
Work Location:
Corporate manufacturing facility Dublin, OH. Workings Hours: Shift work- 8 hours or more depending on need. Must have reliable transportation.
This a swing shift position, 10am – 6pm, or 11am – 7pm. We are open to discuss!
