Learn how Metro connects you with what matters.This position is open to all King County Employees and the General Public.King County Metro Transit Mobility Division is recruiting one Functional Analyst II as a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term Limited Temporary (TLT) to join the Reduced Fares Team. Reduced Fares The Reduced Fares Functional Analyst II supports ORCA LIFT network by supporting transit agency staff and human service agencies who access the ORCA LIFT Registry to enroll eligible customers. The Functional Analyst II will log, troubleshoot, and create new processes for the ORCA LIFT registry and help support the transition of the application to a more dynamic registry.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

In this role, you will apply equity and social justice principles that exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices to all aspects of the work. As the FAII, you will: Investigate and respond to customer complaints and inquiries. Produce reports for internal and/or external distribution. Act as representative and/or advocate for Reduced Fares at various internal and/or external levels. Coordinate and/or implement database processes. Maintain and generate system databases, records, and equipment inventories. Analyze and recommend operational policies. Implement and evaluate programs, policies, proposals, procedures, and plans. Provide technical assistance and administrative support to Metro transit staff who manage the ORCA LIFT Registry network. Perform testing and training and act as subject matter expert on system features and processes. Work in partnership with internal and external teams to identify appropriate changes needed for continuous system and process improvement. Support human service agencies and a hybrid team with technical support as needed. Create macros files to import and export program data across various systems. Coordinate internally and externally with vendors and IT departments to ensure system applications function appropriately. Provide technical support with the ORCA LIFT Registry, ORCA Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM), Excel reports, WinScp, and any future applications that will support the administration of Reduced Fares programs. Prepare, develop, and deliver user training for transit staff and human service agencies. Perform other duties as assigned.

It may be used to create an eligibility list for upcoming vacancies, in any status, as they occur. Eligibility lists are valid for up to 12 months and may be extended at the hiring authority's discretion. Pay for SDA will be in accordance with Personnel Guidelines or the selected employee's collective bargaining agreement. Work ScheduleThis position is FLSA non-exempt and, therefore, eligible for overtime. The workweek is normally Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Work Location: This is a hybrid position. The main work site for this position is King Street Center, 201 S Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104. Union Membership: Positions in this classification are represented by Professional and Technical, Local 17. Class Code 7304200 Teleworking Requirement The work associated with this position will be performed predominantly by teleworking, complemented by onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities.) Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations.
