Position Purpose: As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for financially clearing all outpatient referrals as ordered by the referring provider. Financial clearing includes but not limited to, processing referral within provider EMR, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, contacting patients to discuss coverage, obtaining authorization when necessary, maintains statistical information regarding payers, communicating with providers and staff of denials, and documenting and scanning all communication into referral and electronic medical records,(EMR).
Hours/Shift: Full-Time/M-F 8:00a-4:30p

Key Responsibilities: Provides excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients. Confirms patient demographic information, verification of benefits, scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients, collection of copays or payments, balancing of accounts, and general data entry. Preregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines.
Qualifications:
Work Requirements: Able to reach above and below shoulder level, lift, bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and sit for 90% of scheduled shift; 10% involves walk or standing; able to use business office equipment/computer.
