Position: RN-Cardiac Rehab

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Three years’ experience as registered nurse; one year experience working with cardiac patients
- Education: ADN or graduate of a Nursing Diploma program
- Certification/Licensure AZ RN License or compact state; AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS; valid AZ driver’s license
- Preferences: Telemetry unity or coronary care unit experience; Two or more years’ experience in cardiac rehabilitation program; Critical Care Certified Nurse; ACSM Exercise Specialist Certification
Key Responsibilities:
As the Cardiac Rehab RN you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, select solutions, and identify resources for patients suffering/recovering from or at risk of developing cardiovascular disease. This includes reviewing and charting patient medical records, development of exercise programs, closely monitoring patient progress, telemetry/vital monitoring, and develop a discharge summary with program outcomes.
Skills/Knowledge: Excellent verbal/written communication and computer skills. Knowledge of proper form and technique with exercise equipment. Requires physical exertion of 30-50 lbs.
