Hotel General Manager
Bangor, Maine
Our client is seeking a General Manager for their boutique hotel backed by a brand and conveniently located in Bangor, Maine. The General Manager will be the leader of the hotel in all aspects, including revenue generation/management, expense control, and delivering the highest customer satisfaction.
\n- High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hospitality experience required.
- Experience with hospitality reservation systems required.
- Managerial experience with one or more direct reports required.
- Ability to provide clear direction, support, feedback and guidance to all company managers and employees.
- Annual pay in the range of $75,000- $85,000

- Coordinating all staff efforts, including front desk, housekeeping and maintenance.
- Scheduling staff, training staff, managing staff performance.
- Monitoring monthly budget, creating weekly GM report for review with management team, attendance at monthly and quarterly GM meetings.
- Collaborate with owners on maintaining and reaching revenue targets, driving revenue, and evaluating new opportunities.
- Working closely with the Marketing Department to create specials and promotions to increase property occupancy rates and create content for monthly newsletter.
- Hospitality support including resolving guest issues, assisting guests with special requests, communicating with housekeeping tasks when needed.
- Delivering the highest guest satisfaction within the brand, consistently achieve scores in the top 10% of brand nationwide.
- Reviewing reservations for accuracy and issues.
- Ordering supplies for property managing credit card and monitoring property expenditures.
