Job Description Summary

Machine Operator I will run various machines at optimal level with some complexities, ability troubleshoot machine, conduct changeovers, and respond quickly to any machine faults in both automated and non-automated cells.  

The duties and responsibilities of a Machine Operator I will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Operating machine at rate
• Loading, handling, positioning, unloading, and manipulation of parts
• Conduct changeovers and setups as a team
• Perform all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements
• Respond to machine faults and downtime, and accurately track on data collection sheets
• Perform all quality functions and checks as required
• Keep a clean and organized work area
• Inspecting parts and machinery for errors
• Work cooperatively and cohesively as a team, and escalate to supervisor any inappropriate conduct or language
• Machines: automated assembly machines, automated welding machines
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Work Experience: Entry Level
• Education: N/A
• Computer Skills: Ability to learn and make transactions in an ERP system such as Oracle
• Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
• Cross-functional skills: Ability to work with other team members on the production floor
• Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate with crew
• Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Frequently lifts, carries and positions parts weighing up to 15 pounds to varying distances.  Stand and use arms to maneuver parts with repeated motion that requires regular bending.   Must be able to detect cosmetic defects 
• Physical Environment:  Non climate-controlled Manufacturing environment
