JOB TITLE: Deburr Operator I**
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing - Deburr
REPORTS TO: Assembly Lead
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of the Deburr Operator I is to provide the assembly process with a high quality part that has been deburred (all sharp edges created by the machining process are removed) and to perform light assembly under the guidelines established by standard operating procedures and supervisory personnel. This includes primary accomplishments, products and services. The job is highly repetitive in nature, but requires concentration.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Good work record in a manufacturing environment.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
- Follow detailed instructions and procedures to remove sharp edges from machined parts.
- Sand and file misc. piece parts as required.
- Place parts into boxes in the appropriate quantity.
- Inspect parts for missed burrs from previous operations.
- Brush inside and outside of misc. as required.
- Perform small parts assembly as required.
- Record required data during the process.
- Train others in processes and procedures as requested.
- Follow Knights safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to use electrical equipment; grinders, files, brushes, deburring tools, and knives.
- Manual dexterity and good eye and hand coordination.
- Good interpersonal skills to communicate with co-workers and train others.
