What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Jockey position at Knouse Foods?

Drives Tractor-Trailer-Truck combination within the Peach Glen fleet yard and to haul products on a fill in as needed basis in the local area pulling a variety of trailers. Inspects truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, brakes and oil. Connects and disconnects trailers. Loads and unloads truck with a fork lift. Cleans and sanitizes truck tankers according to Knouse Foods procedure. Performs light mechanical maintenance, preventative mechanical maintenance, and road tests on Knouse fleet vehicles utilized for both interplant and over-the-road transport consisting of tractor trailers, tankers, and utility trucks. Verifies load against paperwork. Completes appropriate paperwork. Must be 23 years of age and hold a C.D.L. License. Must have a safe driving record and no chargeable accidents for 3 years, with proof provided by the state issuing drivers license. Must pass a written and driving test administered by Knouse Foods. Must pass a D.O.T. physical, every 2 years or more frequently depending on medical condition, administered by a designated physician and random drug testing.
This position is a weekend crew 3/10hr shifts Sunday, Friday &Saturday
