Business Development Manager
INVISTA is seeking a Business Development Manager that will maintain and grow our Specialty Chemicals markets and applications.
This position can be located at any Invista location across the US preferably in Wichita, KS, Kennesaw, GA, or Houston, TX.
Our Team
As an industry leader in Specialty Chemicals, we profitably discover and commercialize applications which create value for consumers. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the commercial efforts to originate, prioritize, develop, and commercialize our portfolio of Specialty Chemicals.
What You Will Do
- Account Management. Manage relationship with strategic customers, understand their needs, ensure appropriate supply plans to meet their requirements, negotiate price adjustments and develop growth plans for each account
- POV development. Develop robust downstream interactions and point of view on existing and new applications and translate customer requirements into technically feasible problem statements and opportunities
- Downstream Application development. Become a technical liaison between R&D and downstream partners to understand their needs and demonstrate proof of concepts of INVISTA solutions
- Project Management. Apply project management skills to ensure programs advance to meet deadlines and expectations
- Commercialization. Formulate strategy to accelerate commercialization of new products, new markets, new partners to drive demand for INVISTA Specialty Chemicals
- Principle Based Management™. Drive PBM™ culture across the entire business
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Previous experience in sales, commercial development, marketing and/or business consulting roles
- Previous experience commercializing new business/products/channels
- Previous experience developing proposals, including market and financial analysis
- Demonstrated technical background to understand chemistries and its downstream applications
- Previous experience anticipating and translating customer requirements
- Previous experience coordinating multi-discipline technical and commercial teams
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar Previous experience in the chemical industry
