Description
Koch EHS is a part of a shared-services capability company that provides Environmental Health & Safety services to affiliates of Koch. We are currently seeking a Corporate Environmental Leader to join our leveraged capability to collaborate with other Corporate Environmental Leaders to efficiently and effectively leverage advantaged resources across business needs.
This position could be located in Texas, Kansas, Georgia or Minnesota, but will require approximately 20-25% travel.
As the Corporate Environmental Leader in the Koch EHS Team, you will primarily be responsible for:
- Anticipating, identifying, and/or understanding business vulnerabilities and constraints in the Environmental space for various Koch Companies to help develop strategies consistent with Koch’s risk philosophy
- Developing Environmental Capability across Koch EHS and organizations we support by using the tacit knowledge and experience you bring
- Applying principles of entrepreneurship in managing your business and creating long term superior value across Koch
- Ability to help teams flow to work across various capabilities applying principles of entrepreneurship, comparative advantage, and risk optimization
- Challenging the status quo of how work has always been done.
What You Will Do
- Mentor and build environmental capability across the Koch EHS team and organizations we support
- Lead complex strategic key risk projects/tasks using your tacit knowledge in environmental and strong curiosity to understand benchmarking trends (both internally and externally)
- Align business teams on what good environmental performance looks like, identify and help to close any environmental capability/systems gaps that are barriers to value creation and contribute to Points of Views across the enterprise
- Advance innovation, optimization, and automation with passion, energy, and enthusiasm in the EHS space
- Supervise employees by motivating them to maximize their contributions to the organization and to Koch’s long-term success.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Ability to work at all levels of the organization and to succinctly outline complex technical concepts across various levels of the organization
- Strong economic and critical thinking skills
- Excellent collaborator and driver of effective teamwork across various teams and organizations
- Experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility
What Will Put You Ahead
- Leadership Experience in building high performance teams by building capability across the organization
- Supervisory experience with a manufacturing/industrial organization
- Ability to develop Strategic POVs (options analysis/marginal analysis) to help create superior value across the organization
- Environmental background in a complex manufacturing/industrial facility and strong entrepreneurial skills
- Passion to be a Leader in the Koch EHS organization.
