Kokomo Automotive Supply is a NAPA Auto Parts store that has been supplying automotive, heavy duty, agricultural, and industrial parts to wholesale and retail consumers for decades. Job Description

Never worked in the automotive world? That does not matter.

The NAPA Auto Parts Counter Salesperson is willing to learn all things automotive, even if you do not have a background in automotive parts. This job will use your work ethic, customer service skills, and your desire to learn to exceed our customers’ expectations with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.

For those that come from an automotive, heavy equipment, or farm industry background, this will allow you to use that knowledge and work ethic to consistently provide positive know-how for wholesale, agricultural, industrial, and DIY customers in the store and on phone calls.

• Servicing customers is job 1. Answering the phone/helping walk-in customers by selling what the customer needs using web-based catalog system/paper catalogs to find the right part, pull the correct part off the shelf, and doing it with superior service.
• Maintain inventory by adding inventory received to the shelf, inventory counting, and daily stocking
• Safely and efficiently deliver parts to customers as needed
• Eager to help your team achieve store sales goals
• Genuinely want to support store operational standards
• Use computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system
• You want the store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, delivery vehicles, and parking lot to reflect you
• Able to learn to installs wiper blades and perform battery testing

The position is a 40-hour full-time work schedule. Our customer business hours are 7:30AM to 5:30PM Monday-Friday | 8AM to 3PM Saturday | Closed Sundays | Closed New Year, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills with customers, employees, and business partners
• Ability to engage and assist multiple customers with stellar service
• Capable of working both independently and in a team
• A desire to be here every day to learn and grow to help our customers be successful
• Motivated to learn and adapt to basic web-based NAPA parts lookup systems and processes
• Ability to work Monday through Saturday (every other Saturday) and closed Sundays
• Willingness to handle company information with sensitivity and integrity
• Common sense and understanding of how businesses function
• Experience in a parts, hardware, auto body/collision, retail store a plus
• Knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems a plus

Pay: $26,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
