Lay out and perform complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality.

Assess equipment repair needs and develop repair processes.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor and major repairs to all assigned equipment.

Always work efficiently and productively to maintain a billable rate according to department and company objectives.

Minimize loss/spoilage of raw or in process materials.

Lead service crews to ensure that work is done safely, efficiently, and cost effectively to meet SLQDC.

Lead daily safety meetings.

Collect and review FLRA cards.
-
Conduct shift start /daily line out meetings.
-
Periodic inspection of tooling and PPE.
-
Work with department supervisor/manager to determine general short-term tasks to be completed.

Assess crews (headcount and competency levels) to assign specific tasks to service crews for the day.

Collect timecards at end of shift to ensure that hours are properly coded and e-mailed to Supervisor and payroll.

Advise department supervisor/manager of any potential concerns (i.e. materials, tooling, labor, quality, EHS, permitting, etc . . .).

Interact and share customer/vendor feedback as applicable.

Coach, develop, train junior technicians to improve technical skills.

Maintain highest level of technical competency for applicable trade (see applicable trade description for further details). Will join service crews to assist in the repair process.

Knowledge with troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, low voltage electrical and mechanical components.

Ability to interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables and handbook formulas

Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments.

Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a 1 year technical college education, is a plus.

Over 3 years in similar job experience.

Flexible work schedule.
-
2 to 5 years' experience in the maintenance of mining equipment, ie shovels, drills, loaders would be a plus

Print understanding so all repairs are completed to OEM specification
-
Willing to travel 100% to meet business requirements
